![]() Of course it would be better to just use TV-out and hook up the PC to a CRT TV to get the closest to authentic visuals, but both TV-out and CRT are pretty much dead tech as of a few years ago. I was using this core since months, but now it’s impossible to play. Start RetroArch in verbose mode with this command: retroarch.exe -v -log-file retroarch.log or retroarch.exe -v > retroarch. Navigate to the RetroArch folder using the cd command. It only happens with this core, all other cores work fine. Open a console window with the cmd command, found either in the Start Menu or through use of the Windows 'Run' menu. I have tried every video driver available in the settings and they all crash. I have all the necessary files correctly setup as the core is getting recognised in retroarch and the standalone PCSX2 program works with the same files. Hi, downloaded a fresh copy of Retroarch 1.8 and Dolphin core make crash retroarch. 1 11:45:05 knulller Member Registered: Posts: 2 I'm trying to run the PCSX2 core in retroarch. Also no problem running a second/multiple roms in a row. Looks very good even on my desktop's 21 inch (or 22 inch? I forgot) widescreen LCD monitor. Didnt start a game but it runs up to the start screen with np at least. I found it to be the optimal solution, close enough to what you would see on an actual TV if you had an actual SNES hooked up, while still being upscaled and not pixelated as fuck on an LCD monitor with resolution far superior to that which the SNES did output. Any ideas in how to fix it EDIT: After the update of today it is working again. What I tried: Reset all settings: didnt work. FCEUmm and Nestopia UE works but I want to use Mesen. It also IMO more or less matches the NTSC filter without the "fuzzyness" or "noise" of a TV screen that makes text unreadable and causing eye-strain (at least for me). Im trying to use Mesen to play NES games but everytime I try to load a ROM it crashes on startup. bsnes-hd has more hacks that give true HD in mode 7 SNES games and widescreen in other games.īiggest advantage of using 25% scanlines and interpolation over HQ, super eagle or other filters when upscaling is that text and other shapes are accurate without looking too low res. Description Retroarch often crashes when loading content when a core is already loaded on Switch/Vita. RetroArch version on the Play Store is d3eb9b6 (libretro/RetroArchd3eb9b6) It doesnt matter if the Play Store version is Plus or non-Plus. Save, open RetroArch and see how it looks. Change it from the default gl to one of those options. ![]() The difference is that official bsnes only has slight visual improvements but with mostly perfect compatibility. The easiest way to change those settings is to open your retroarch.cfg in a text editor (make sure RetroArch is closed before you do this) and look for videodriver. Some of the features of this fork are or will be included in official bsnes. Some non-HD related features – Like the ability to disable background layers, sprites and window effects for screenshots for wallpapers or soft crop to zoom in, leaving maps or static art off the sides of the screen. Works for most Mode 7 scenes, but also for some other scenes/games, after some setting tweaking. Widescreen – Extending the scenes to the left and right, without distorting them. It is a higher resolution version of the process the SNES uses. This does not involve new custom imagery or upscaling algorithms. HD Mode 7 – Rendering the rotated, scaled or pseudo perspective backgrounds at higher resolutions. ![]() Any advice or direction pointing would be much appreciated.Bsnes-hd is a newer fork of bsnes, released in 2019 by DerKoun, that adds HD video features, such as: I've spent hours trying to get it to work, heck, even getting to see like the PS2 boot screen would feel like a victory. Guide button is also no more working with : RetroArch, Kodi, and Controller. I've started over multiple times following multiple guides, and it's always the same result. Fix some some Steam games importing with an escaped quotation mark. I've tried it with dx11 and 12, and even the other one, gl or whatever. Now on PC before I transferred PCSX2 over to my console, I tested it and was able to run PS2 games as well as my crappy computer allows, which tells me that presumably the BIOS and the game ISO are correct. For some reason though, if I try to boot up a PS2 game? Black screen followed by a crash. Video to give step on how to resolve the problem when start PCSX2 on RetroArch.Link to BIOS. I can boot up and play PS1 games no issue, as well as gamecube games. Basically, I've got RetroArch installed and running on my Series X. Hi there! I'm hoping someone smarter than me will know what I'm doing wrong, but my google-fu hasn't found anything that actually works. ![]()
